Have kids ENT issues got your child feeling down? KidsStreet Urgent Care treats a variety of ear, nose, and throat conditions in children and can help them heal and feel better fast!
What Are ENT Services?
Otolaryngologists or ENT providers diagnose and treat issues that affect the ears, nose, and throat. More specifically, ENT specialists treat all kinds of long term illnesses and ailments that affect the ears, nose, and throat.
ENT Specialists vs. Urgent Care
Most pediatric ENT specialists see kids who struggle with conditions like prolonged ear infections, repetitive cases of tonsillitis, and recurring sinus infections. These conditions need in-depth testing and treatment, and may take a while to get an appointment. According to Duke Health, these are indicators that your child may need to see an ENT specialist:
- Three or more sinus or ear infections in a calendar year
- Six or more tonsillitis cases in a year
- Frequent nosebleeds
- Persistent cough lasting a month or longer
- Ongoing nasal congestion
- Fluid in the ears for a prolonged period of time
If your child doesn’t suffer with any kind of recurrent or concerning ENT conditions, they likely do not need to see an ENT specialist. KidsStreet is not an ENT specialist, however, our board certified providers can treat many kinds of urgent ENT issues that your kids encounter. Urgent ENT issues are those like non-recurrent ear infections, strep throat infections, and sinus infections.
